Step 1

Buka gambar jpeg. nya di Photoshop. Saran gw lo cari gambar yang warnanya bervariasi (contoh : pelangi, paisley, disco ball, dll.)

Dari gambar yang udah lo buka, kita kasi filter mosaik. Caranya Filter>Pixelate>Mosaic

Ketentuan ukuran mosaiknya bebas, tergantung selera & sesuai gambar aja. Disini gw pake ukuran 5 square/pixel (lihat preview dibawah)

Step 3

Simpen dulu gambar yang udah kita kasi efek filter. Sekarang bikin new document baru (bukan new layer), ukurannya disesuaikan sama square yg lo bikin tadi. Tadi gw bikin 5 square, berarti dokumen gw ukurannya 5 pixel x 5 pixel. Klo udah, pilih Elliptical Marquee Tool (shortcut keyboard : M) terus bikin seleksi lingkaran di tengah2 dokumen baru.

Step 4

Setelah diseleksi pake elliptical, skrg lo balik seleksinya (Select Inverse) bisa pake shortcut keyboard Shift+Ctrl+i. Bikin new layer diatas layer Background. New layer ini lo fill warna item ato ga putih, warna laen jg bisa klo lo mau coba. Gw pake warna item. Abis itu, lo Deselect seleksinya (Ctrl+D) terus layer Background lo hidden (klik lambang mata) jadi yg keliatan skrg cuma Layer 1 doang.

Duh ini salah preview hehe. Layer background blm gw hidden. Kira2 begini jadinya

Step 5

Klo udah, dokumen tadi kita jadiin Pattern. Caranya : Edit>Define Pattern. Kasi nama bebas (gw pake nama 'dots')

Setting jadi pattern

Step 6

Kita pindah ke gambar jpegnya. Bikin new layer, trs lo isi warna (fill layer) terserah warna apa aja. Kalo udah, klik lambang 'fx' di bawah (bahasa kerennya : Add a layer style), lo apply settingan di bawah ini.

And that's all. Mosaik lo udah jadi. Gampang kan? hehe...
